A migrant worker's struggle told through her final days in Singapore.

BIO

Lan Yu crafts social narratives that foster empathy and provide nuanced perspectives.

As a film writer/director, her short films have won awards and travelled to over ten countries including the US, Spain, Egypt, Italy and Dubai. She also produces content for leading Asian broadcasters/platforms like Channel NewsAsia (CNA) and Our Grandfather Story.

In the commercial sphere, she has worked with brands across government agencies, MNCs, SMEs and startups. Clients include Amazon and AWS, Changi Airport Group, Ninja Van, Singapore Tourism Board and Temasek.

In addition to creating film content, she's currently building Migrants NFT - a community initiative to bring art and stories from the migrant worker community on to the blockchain.
